In addition to the Coffee house and the pastry service, Café Pastelaria Benard established in 1868 also works as a restaurant. The lunch and dinner menu includes typical Portuguese cuisine and some salads and lighter quiches. But it is in the pastry shop that Benard stands out.

A customer favorite has long been the croissant, made from a secret recipe and usually served hot.
