HCR team in Lisbon and Coimbra

On the occasion of the co-organization of HCR with the Portuguese Association of Historic Cafés and the Café Santa Cruz of the Conference “Historic Cafes: A Meeting of Ideas”, in Coimbra (May 20 & 21) the HCR executive team consisting of Route Manager George Loverdos and Communication Officer Maria Mystakidou will visit the HCR Café Members in Lisbon (May 17-19).  Their aim is the further strengthening of relations and charting a common path with a view to certification, after our presentation in Luxembourg to the Council of Europe.

At the same time, they will convey the greetings of the founder and President of HCR, Vasilis Stathakis, to the Cafe-members and attendees of the seminar in Coimbra.

It is noted that the Portuguese Association of Historic Cafés is a member of HCR with a total of 38 Café members, while the President of the Association Vitor de Sá Marques is also Ambassador of HCR in Portugal.

The meetings will also raise issues of joint events and will present the new website and social networks to promote common goals in the future.

As it is known, in the new website of HCR, the members can send their own articles, they can announce their important events and most of all, they can present their opinions. In addition, shortly the ‘Forum’ platform will be added, where members can hold discussions about current topics and issues in various “rooms”.

This HCR website will keep you updated about the Coimbra seminar with new posts.

Kindly note that historic cafés of Europe and the rest of the world that accept the principles of the Council of Europe and meet the conditions of membership can find the relevant applications, here, in the category BECOME A MEMBER. We welcome and encourage new members!
