Dear members of Historic Cafés Route
Dear Companions
The Historic Café “Astikon” that I have the pleasure of being the owner is a member of the Historic Cafés Route, a Route Certified by the Council of Europe.
My name is Dimitris Kontoleon, I was a member of the previous Board of Directors of the “Historic Cafés Route”, however, I had to redefine my position, since unfortunately, the leadership did not meet the requirements and demands of an International Certified Route.
Having fully realized the mistakes and shortcomings of the past, I have decided to candidate again for the Board of Directors, for the elections to be held on March 2, because I know that Historic Cafés Route can only bring benefits to its members.
I strongly believe that the certification of the Council of Europe is an extremely important element for every Historic Café and I envision the growth and development of the Route, through events, common cooperation agreements, publications, and of course the active participation of the executives in every Conference, Forum and Academy proposed by the Council of Europe.
With a concrete strategy, united efforts to be part of European programs, the annual membership fees of the members, but also with the support of local, national, and international institutions, authorities, and bodies, I am sure that Historic Cafés Route will become one of the most important and powerful Certified Routes of the Council of Europe.
Let us overcome the unfortunate period of the past year together and work for a bright and successful future.
Thank you
Dimitris Kontoleon
