Caffè Bonfante Pasticceria (est. 1922)

Heir to the Piatti pastry shop, active since 1800, which it succeeded, it is the kingdom of ‘Nocciolini’ (originally ‘Noasetti’), simple and exquisite sweets – Piedmont hazelnuts, sugar and egg whites – that founder Luigi Bonfanti is credited with making known throughout Italy.

A historic meeting point for city life, it is an entirely original Art Nouveau jewel, with finely decorated marble, mirrors, counters and panelling in Piedmontese walnut.

It is the third generation of two family units and an artisan workshop with traditional recipes, including Chivasso tomato jam.
